About Us

Kick for Detroit is part of the Do It For Detroit campaign hosted by CommunityNEXT, a part of the NextGEN division of the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit. Through a series of intramural sports tournaments and social events, Detroiters and Detroit ex-pacts have raised money to go to a series of micro-grants to fund social good projects that benefit the Detroit community. The first tournament took place in 2011 in Los Angeles. In 2012 Kick for Detroit is being hosted in downtown Chicago!

The 2012 Kick for Detroit Charity Kickball Tournament is hosted by ComePlayDetroit and in partnership with DETROIT NATION. ComePlayDetroit is an organization which hosts intramural sports and social events in Detroit with the focus on helping make the city a place to live, work and PLAY! DETROIT NATION connects new and old friends, and helps facilitate the conversation about what's happening in Detroit, and most importantly, to give back to the city you will always call home.
